An evening poster session and heavy hors d’oeuvre reception will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at the Holiday Inn, South Kingstown (about 5 minutes from URI Coastal Institute). The session will begin at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. "Estuaries Cabaret" will perform from 7:30 to 7:45 p.m. Prepare to laugh along with skits that spoof estuary issues.
The poster session will be in our reception room off the lobby on the first floor of the Holiday Inn. There is sufficient wall and window space to accommodate the posters that have been offered. We anticipate and hope that most, if not all posters will be composed on single large-format printed sheets (e.g. 3' x 4' - 5' or similar dimensions). We will have supplies of "drafting dots/wall-mounting tabs" to mount your poster on the available wall or window space to assist you with mounting your poster.
There are a limited number of easels available if your poster can only be accommodated in this manner (e.g. material mounted on white board). Due to the configuration of the room and simultaneous activities (reception food and the cabaret performance), we wish to minimize the number of posters that require the use of easels or other supporting accommodations. Should you need an easel or have other special requirements, please notify Steve Rideout (Stephen_rideout@usgs.gov) no later than noon EST, December 30, 2002.
