About Snacks and Meals

A picture of people dining.

For breakfast:

There are numerous eating places in close proximity to the Holiday Inn.

If you prefer to eat at the hotel, you can order off the menu or take advantage of special arrangements for a breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet includes: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, assorted breakfast pastries, fresh fruit salad, assorted cold cereals, fruit juices, tea, coffee, and decaffeinated coffee. The all-inclusive (tax and tip) breakfast buffet costs $8.95 and can be added to your room charge. Use of this option will greatly speed up breakfast service.

For lunch and breaks:

Because University of Rhode Island is not in session and local lunchtime eateries are closed, food and beverages for breaks and lunches will be catered. The caterer has been apprised of any special dietary needs and planned food accordingly. Also of note the water at the Coastal Institute is not potable. Bottled water will be provided.

At the reception

The poster session room is adjacent to and opens into a food service and bar area. The buffet service of hors d’oeuvres is sufficient for an evening meal. A cash bar is available.
